Kenny Leung recently joined Chadwick Real Estate as a Business Development Manager in Property Management. Kenny started his career at a pathology lab whilst completing his University degree. Shortly after, Kenny moved into an administration coordinator role for a branding company looking after marketing schedules, artwork approvals and the final products. Almost 5 years ago Kenny decided to pursue his career in Real Estate. Kenny accepted a role at McGrath, starting as the leasing executive on the Upper North Shore then progressed into a senior leasing executive looking after 6 other leasing agents in 6 different offices. More recently, Kenny progressed into a BDM role working closely with landlords who have decided to lease out their property.
Kenny brings to the team his strong confidence, wealth of knowledge and cliental database within the Upper North Shore. He says it’s a great opportunity to work for Chadwick Real Estate ‘a growing agency’ that is ‘rapidly’ expanding on the Upper North Shore.
What sets you apart from other PM agents?
I add a personal touch to all my clients and treat them with respect and transparency. Understanding the decision to hand over a property to someone is a big decision and requires a lot of trust and honesty. I would rather give honest opinion rather than over pricing a property just to get business because I value relationship. I strive to build rapport and long term relationship with my clients rather than treating each business as just a transaction. I also come from a design and marketing background, so I know how to plan, strategizes and execute a beautiful listing campaign. Being fluent in both English and Cantonese also adds value to my clients, being able to negotiate and communicate with landlords or tenants when necessary.
What can you bring to the PM team at Chadwick Real Estate?
I bring a wealth of knowledge to Chadwick as I’m a local landlord and having dealt with over 450 across upper north shore. I’ve seen and leased many properties the past 4.5 years in the area and I have accurate knowledge on what a property might be worth and what it can compare to in the surrounding area. As an experienced local agent, with a licence in real estate and knowledge of the tenancy act, I believe any investors looking to lease out their property will be in great hands when they deal with myself at Chadwick.
What is the biggest issue or challenge facing the industry at the moment? What does the future hold for property management at Chadwick?
The biggest challenge now is to giving an honest rental appraisal and being transparent with the landlord when other agents are not doing so. There are many examples in the industry where the landlord has decided to go with an agent that have quoted a much higher rent to win the business, but ultimately it’ll become a burden to owners when the property cannot be leased at that price.
Previously mentioned by Suzanne Parry ‘The exciting future ahead in Property Management’ – has only just begun with Kenny’s exceptional start as BDM, with over 6 new managements!
