Coming into the winter months, another question that we are commonly asked is whether to sell in winter or wait to put your property on the market in some of the warmer months. If you are thinking of selling in winter, there are a couple of factors to keep in mind.
One of the benefits to selling in winter is that there are traditionally less properties on the market, which can lead to greater competition on your property.
Another benefit to selling in winter is that some properties based on their location and aspect do actually present better in the winter.
If you are selling with the intention of buying another home, then selling in the winter market can give you that important jump on the spring market, allowing you to be in an immediate position to negotiate when there are more properties on the market to choose from.
Whilst there are many benefits to selling in the winter months, there are some limitations. Traditionally, we see a larger number of buyers in some other seasons of the year.
